Bartuschka is, in our humble opinion, the best thing ever.

Headlining the bill was Bartuschka - a female mime artist from Slovakia. By far the most considered and accomplished act of the evening, she gave an amusing, modern rendition of Rapunzel followed by some surreal (but this time funny) puppetry. With a brilliantly expressive face and a real understanding of how to engage a crowd, she was something of a saving grace."

Bartuschka, the comedienne/mime who introduces proceedings and peppers them with deliciously over-the-top performances and audience participation, is also the gem of the evening. Her finely detailed costumes hark back to the 20s and 30s and the mixture of her expressive, mobile face and deliberate self-consciousness are a warm and welcoming way to kick off and maintain proceedings.
